• General Chemistry Understanding - Stronger reducing agents accelerate reduction reactions. Shana and Anish put this hypothesis to test, and showed its incompleteness in dictating AuNP catalyzed 4-nitrophenol reduction. Under certain conditions, a WEAKER reducing agent can outperform a STRONGER reducing agent! The paper is online at ACS The Journal of Physical Chemistry C!

• We report another work on surface ligand directed photophysics. This time Pradyut and team have demonstrated an electrostatically driven FRET in an "all-green QD" based nanohybrid system. The highlight is the realisation of the temporal evolution of FRET in solid-state. The paper is online at ACS The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters!

• Gayathri and team achieved a fine interplay between photoinduced electron and energy transfer processes in a single QD nanohybrid system, to create high-contrast multicolour patterns. The paper is online at ACS The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters!

• Another paper on 'Ligand Directed Catalysis' brings us one step closer to converting light into useful reagents! Soumendu and team shows that favorable catalyst-reactant interactions can dictate multielectron reactions as well. Congrats to them!
